For now, I would just have to try and ignore it. I finished the dishes and went to bed, trying to put the mouse out of my mind.\nThe next morning, I woke up to the sound of scratching. I sat up in bed, my heart pounding. The scratching was coming from the kitchen. I got out of bed and walked cautiously to the kitchen. I looked under the refrigerator, but saw no sign of the mouse. I then looked in the cabinets, but again, no sign of it.\nI was about to give up when I heard the scratching again. This time, it was coming from the pantry. I opened the pantry door and looked inside. There, sitting on a shelf, was the mouse. It was gnawing on a bag of flour.\nI gasped, and the mouse, startled, scurried away and disappeared behind some boxes. I groaned. This was going to be a long day.\nI spent the rest of the day trying to catch the mouse. I tried setting out humane traps, but the mouse was too smart and avoided them all. I even tried chasing it around with a broom, but it was too fast. By the end of the day, I was exhausted and frustrated.\nI went to bed that night feeling defeated. I had no idea how to get rid of the mouse. I was starting to think I would have to live with it.\nThe next morning, I woke up to the sound of silence. I sat up in bed, confused. Where was the scratching? I got out of bed and went to the kitchen. I looked under the refrigerator, in the cabinets, and in the pantry. No sign of the mouse.\nI smiled. It was gone. I had no idea how, but it was gone. I was finally free of the mouse. I spent the rest of the day cleaning the house, making sure there were no more signs of the mouse.\nThat night, I went to bed feeling relieved. I was finally able to relax.
